Providence Presbyterian Church - Powdersville SC

I want to thank our Church for being such a generous, caring congregation. Our annual spring clothes drive was a total success. We donated all of the clothes given to Miracle Hill, and they gave us a few hundred dollars in vouchers that can be given to those in need.

I am also very proud of your response to our Memorial Day event, where you donated a total of $461.10 in cash and gift cards. All of the clothing vouchers and food gift cards will be a big help in these hard times for families both in and out of the Church.

I want to remind everyone this month that we will also accept your used or broken cell phones. All of the phones will be given to the local shelter for battered women. The phones are then repaired; the memory is erased, and programmed for 911 only calls. They are, in turn, handed out to abused women. It is a great program, and a great alternative to throwing them away.
